About Nilmini Rubin
As a child of immigrants from Sri Lanka to the United States, I grew up meditating and have taught my kids how to do so. I've enjoyed leading numerous meditations in workplace, family and adult settings over the years. Professionally, I have worked in public policy for twenty years for the U.S. Senate, U.S House of Representatives, the White House, for a company and two non-profits.
"Just as a bird needs two wings to fly, we need both wisdom and compassion to be in balance. Kindfulness connects mindfulness meditation practices with heart opening exercises and an ethical framework. We apply the focus cultivated through mindfulness to deepen the kindness we apply to ourselves and bring to our world. Be more than mindful, be kindful."
